Angelo retain as captain while Malinga receive wings in T20s

The National Selectors have decided to re appoint All Rounder Angelo Mathews as the Captain of the Sri Lanka National Team for the Test and  ODI formats. His appointment is to commence from upcoming tour of Pakistan till the conclusion of Sri Lanka's tour to England next year.

Lasith Malinga will be entrusted with the leadership of the Sri Lanka National Team for the Twenty 20 format with immediate effect till the conclusion of Sri Lanka's title defense at the ICC World Twenty 20  to be played in India in 2016.

The captain of the national team (Test & ODI ) appointed only till the last world cup and the new appointment will extend Angelo Mathews captaincy till March of next year. Lasith Malinga who appointed temporarily as the Twenty20 will receive full cover till the up coming World Twenty 20.
