Athletics: Two Sri Lanka records shattered on the 1st day of SAG selection

Two Sri Lanka records shattered on the first day of the South Asian Games Athletics selection trials held in Diyagama Stadium today(03).

Sumeda Ranasinghe attached to the Sri Lanka Air Force performed a distance of 83.04m in mens Javelin Throw to surpass both Sri Lanka record and the Olympic Standard of 83.00.

Meantime, Ishara Sadaruwan of Air Force performed a leap of 4.91m in Pole vault to renew his own record in the event. South Asian Games 2016 will be held in Guwahati, India from 6th to 16th of February next year.
