MTV/MBC earns TV rights to broadcast London Olympics 2012 in Sri Lanka


23, July 2012 (Cricturf): MTV/MBC Media network has obtained broadcasting rights of London Summer Olympics 2012 to be held in July in London. Sri Lanka Rupavahini is the only channel who repeatedly broadcast the event since the institute starts and they were the right holders for worlds most distinguished sporting event.


The 2012 Summer Olympics in London will see various television broadcasters, with Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) the host broadcasting organisation for globe television broadcasting.


The home broadcaster will be the BBC, who will broadcast all 5000 hours of competition through various channels.


Maharaja Television Networks (MTV) & Maharaja Broadcasting Network (MBC) earn the rights of broadcasting the event Islandwide with a higher bid.

 

Maharaja Networks officials stated that they are whiling to entire event with using 7 Channels and also mentioned that will open new era for Sport broadcasting. MTV/MBC network launched their campaign with a fresh theme as "Champions Network" " We share Dream, Dreams of Champions".

 

MTV/MBC currently holds 7 media channels (Sirasa TV, Shakthi TV, MTV, Sirasa FM, Yes FM, Y FM & Shakthi FM) in Sri Lanka.

Olympics Games will start on the 27th of July 2012.
