AB de Villiers will be leading South Africa for the first time in an ICC event although his dual role as captain and wicket-keeper puts a lot of responsibility on his shoulders.

Heartbreaks in the previous editions of the ICC World Twenty20 has meant that South Africa has plenty to play for this time around.

And de Villiers is best placed to lead South Africa to its first title win in the ICC World Twenty20.

Experienced all-rounder Jacques Kallis is back in the mix as is speedster Dale Steyn, making South Africa one of the most dangerous sides at ICC World Twenty20 2012.

The consistent Hashim Amla provides solidity at the top of the order. Add all-rounders Albie Morkel, Johan Botha and Wayne Parnell to the mix and South Africa has most well balanced side in the competition.
