The remaining two ODI's between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played on reserve days in the event of a rain interruption said Sri Lanka Cricket today. The decision was taken after a request was made by the Pakistan team at the end of the 3rd ODI at Colombo which was abandoned after 6.2 overs due to heavy rain.

Secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket Mr.Nishantha Ranatunga said that reserve days have been set up and the matches will be played on the following day or any other day suitable if a match is abandoned due to rain. Heavy rain which brought the 3rd ODI to a halt on Wednesday and weather forecasts show that the week ahead might experience rain continuously which will affect the matches.

It should also be noted that the 1st ODI played in Kandy was also interrupted by rain although play was continued after rain with the overs being reduced to 42 per team.

Sri Lanka Cricket also said that the tickets issued for the 3rd ODI match on Wednesday 13th of June which was abandoned due to rain will be valid for the 5th and final ODI match to be played on Monday the 18th of June.
