Burgher Recreation Club (BRC) done major damage from the beginning of the tournament with extraordinary unbeaten record. They beat Colts CC by 4 Runs to become CSN Premier Clubs T20 Tournament's Champions.
They beat SSC, Moors, Port Authority and Police in there group stage matches and Beat Panadura SC to make their way to finals yesterday (01).
BRC's Krishal Magage & Maduranga Zoysa's Changed their faith in to champions last evening with unbeaten 9th wicket partnership of 64 in 5 overs. It helped BRC to post a competitive score against Panadura to enter Finals.
Colt's CC came into the finals as clear favourtes with a title of league champions. They beat NCC comprehensively by 64 Runs in Semi Finals. Malintha Warnapura was the star performer through out the innings with outstanding inning of 94.
BRC won the toss and elected to bat first, BRC's Andy Solomons scored 53 runs in 42 deliveries to post a total of 157. Chathura Peries 16/3 & Sajeewa Weerakoon 31/2
Colt's Failed to overtake the target of 158 and failed 4 Runs Short. Kushal Janith Perera scored 45 runs in 24 balls with 4 sixers and Harsha Vithana scored 24. Colt's Young opening batsman Shihan Kamileen batted as 11th batsman and it will be a bad memory for his career. Thamara Abeyrathna grabbed 3 wickets for 31 & Nimesh Perera 2 for 26.
