15, July 2012 (Cricturf) Sri Lanka Inter Club Division "I" Under 23 tournament is in play with participation of 14 Teams devided into two groups. Ragama SC & Nondescripts Cricket Club were on top of respective groups (Group A & B) end of the last week.
Colts CC won a match with the highest score margin out of few matches held during this week.
Colts CC struggled at the 1st inning against Chilaw Marianse and managed only to score 190 all out with help of Shehan Fernando's 51 and Imal Liyanage's 38 Runs. Shehan Chathuranga of Marianse was the star to pick 6 wickets of Colts CC for 45 Runs.
Colts made comeback run with the ball and sent Marianse all out for 79 Runs A Ajirin was the only player managed to reach twenties and he scored 23 Runs, Julian De Zilva and Ali Khan of Colts picks three wickets each & Nilochana Perera and Akila Dhananjaya picked one wicket each.
Colts restart their 2nd inning with a 111 runs lead, Shehan Fernando and Nilochana Perera opened the inning and formed a 85 runs partnership for the 1st wicket. Shehan gone for 48 as 1st wicket and Shihan Kamileen joined with Nilochana. Nilochana Perera made 107 Runs and Shihan stunt with a 167 runs with 17 4s and a Six. Oshada Fernando helped with 53 runs to declare Colts inning 401/4. A Ajireen was the only success bowler who able to pick 3 wickets of Colts out of 4 wickets.
Colts CC bowlers managed to restrict Chilaw again for 78 Runs to secure the win by 434 Runs. Julian de Zilva and Akila Dhananjaya picked 3 wickets each of Chilaw.
