Sri Lanka Under 19 team will be leaving the country by next Friday(03) to participate in ICC Under 19 youth World cup in Australia.
Sri Lanka youth team selectors appointed a 30 man pool for upcoming World cup and selected 15 youths form out of 30.Samitha De Mel of Moratuwa St Sebastians College will captain the team while Anjelo Jayasinghe of Maris Stella College Negombo appointed as vice captain.
Sri Lanka Cricket made an arrangement to motivate Sri Lanka school boys with financial aid as an allowance of Rs.100,000 for each player and the official ceremony held at SLC head quarters today(30). Journalists from Media organizations and parents of the players were attended for the occasion.
Sri Lanka Cricket's official casual wear clothing partners Emerald Handed over casual wear for the world cup team at the occasion.
The event will be staged in the Australian state of Queensland, with matches being shared between the cities of Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Townsville. The tournament will start on 11th of August and the finals will played on 26th of August.
