(18th June 2012) : The international reports from few minutes back reports that the 23 year old Suerrey cricketer Tom Maynard (Thomas Lloyd "Tom" Maynard) has passed away in a car crash. Tom is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler and he is also the son of former England batsman Matthew Maynard. Major teams tom has played are England Lions, Glamorgan, Glamorgan 2nd XI,Surrey
, Sylhet Royals and Wales Minor Counties.
"Thoughts are with Matt Maynard and his family.. Words can't describe the Terribly sad news that Tom Maynard has died aged 23...#RIPTOM" it was the immediate tweet of former England Captain Michael Vaughan who conveyed his condolences to Tom's family.

England team is currently practising at Kia Oval for the Tuesday's second ODI and the news and it is said that the entire team is in shock after hearing the news. News has also reported that Tom was disciplined by the Surrey team for returning late in between the game against Sussex in championship match.
