(26th June 2012,Cricturf) : All the Elite Panel Umpires of Pakistan Cricket Board will have undergo hearing and eye tests after it was recommended by the world class umpire Aleem Dar. 
Aleem Dar along with Asad Rauf is given the responsibility to improve the stadards of umpires in Pakistan thus, the two will work hand in hand with manager umpires, board director domestic cricket and referees.
Aleem Dar has also given a suggestion to the board about ending the traditional way of captain giving a report about the umpires and taking the match-referee report to be made supreme.
“They have to undergo these tests because we want to make sure that we get the best umpires next season,” Dar told The Express Tribune and further stated “Our preference was to bring in former cricketers who understand the game and younger people whose reflexes are sharp.”
