(25th July 2012,Cricturf): After a long period of 18 months, Chris Gayle is recalled to play Tests for the West Indies side for the first Test against New Zealand. 
The last Test match Gayle played in Test cricket was with Sri Lanka in the 2010 December tour. Addition of Gayle in the Test squad will add boost and strength to the batting line up which will also have Shivnarine Chanderpaul back after his injury during the Test against England.
However, the injured Darren Bravo is been left out from the squad. Bravo too sustained an injury during the England tour.
