(25th July 2012,Cricturf) : Former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris scored the joint-third fastest century in theTwenty20 history yesterday (24th) as his team Sussex managed to beat Gloucestershire at Hove to reach the finals in FL t20.
Sussex been the winners of 2009 season posted a mammoth score of 230 for just 4 wickets at the end of their 20 overs. It became the highest score any team has scored in the 2012 series. Scott Styris , the start of the game made a quick century off just 37 balls and was well supported by the England wicket keeper Matt Prior (60) and Murray Goodwin (55). 
In reply, the Gloucestershire could only managed to score 191-8 giving Sussex the win by 39 runs. Dan Housego , the highest scorer in the Gloucestershire side scored rapid 47 runs.
Styris's supper innings consisted of massive 9 sixes and it was the second highest score of the 2012 series whilst Somerset's James Hildreth has the first place for his 107 not out against Glamorgan on the 22nd of June.
The most failed over in the Gloucestershire's side was bowled by James Fuller who gave away 38 runs in the over. He bowled 2 no balls and out of the two one was nicely converted to a six by Scott Styris. Styris also hit 3 fours and 3 more sixes in the same over.
Contributing to the side more, Styris claimed an early wicket of Gloucestershire's Benny Howell too.
