
The Scotland opener who is only 25 years old cracked 5 sixes and 10 dashing fours and completed his century in just 56 balls letting his side to post a score of 162/7 against Bangladesh in Netherlands.
Majid Haq and Josh Davey bowled brilliantly and bagged three wickets each while Scots restricted Bangladesh side for just 128 runs all out in with 2 more overs to go in the innings.
The Scots had lost their last five Clydesdale Bank 40 matches, but opener Berrington made exactly 100 to almost single handedly set a total in response to which Bangladesh, ranked fourth in the T20 world rankings, never seriously theatened.
Opener Tamim Iqbal made a quick 25 off just 19 balls and the Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan was the top-scorer for them with his 31. But the hopes of winning the game became tough after the 7th wicket of the Bangladesh side was down.
