17th June 2012 (Cricturf): For the question raised regarding Mahela and him leading the Sri Lankan team for the 2015 world cup at the press conference held after the 4th ODI against Pakistan yesterday he replied “I don’t have huge hopes for future. Even though we play cricket so well, one small mistake can change everything. That is the situation of the country right now. I will like to talk about the next two three months but about far ahead than that, will have to be talked with the relevant parties and then come to a decision about leading the team will next world cup”. And the fact he tried to impose was that the Sri Lanka right now is a place where anything can change in few seconds and thus he himself don’t know anything or a statement to give regarding it at this moment.

And about the future plans for the next 2-3 months he said that the entire team is trying to work and play according to a plan as a team and the youngsters playing really well is a glimpse of a positive hope that and they will take a lot of responsibility and further mentioned that the entire team support is the key aspect for us right now.
