Former Thomian and Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club player Yoshitha Rajapaksha has been appointed as the captain of the national fifteen-a-side rugby team which is training for the upcoming Asian 5 Nations in Manila, Philippines.

According to the SLRFU, Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage has ratified the nomination made by the national selectors to appoint Rajapaksha as captain.
Rajapaksha has also led Sri Lanka in rugby sevens and was the captain of the national team which won the Bowl at the Borneo Sevens last year. (RN)
