The names of the captains of the seven provincial teams of Sri Lanka Premier League were revealed at a media briefing held today(27th) along with several other revelations related to the SLPL.
Captains
While 6 of the 7 teams have announced the names of their captains, Uva Next team is yet to announce the name of their captain. It should be noted that although Icon Players remain in the teams, only 5 teams have named their Icon Players as captains while the Uthura team has named Jehan Mubarak as captain while Muralitharan remains the Icon Player.

Basnahira Cricket Dundee - TM Dilshan
Kandurata Warriors - Kumar Sangakkara
Nagenahira Nagas - Angelo Mathews
Ruhuna Royals - Lasith Malinga
Uthura Rudras - Jehan Mubarak
Wayamba United - Mahela Jayawardane
Uva Next - To be announce later.
Furthermore, the final fixtures of the SLPL was also revealed today with the time of match no.20 being shifted due to unavoidable circumstances according to the organizers although the dates of the matches remain the same.
