(12th August 2012,Cricturf) : Winners from last night with fireworks of T.M Dilshan, Basnahira Cricket Dundees chose to bat first after winnings the toss against Uva Next on the 4th game of Sri Lanka Premier League. This was the first game for Uva Next in the tournament and the second for Basnahira Cricket Dundees.
Basnahira after starting to bat couldn't keep up the flow they had in the last night's game. They lost their first wicket, Dan iel Smith f or a duck. Dimuth Karunarathne and T.M. Dilshan started building the innings slowly but Dimuth's dismissal in 5th over shattere d it. T .M. Dilshan scored his second half century in the tournament in consequent matches and was well supported by Jeevan Mendis to put up a a total of 136.
Jacob Oram started the demolishing of Basnahira team early by picking 3 big wickets and Dilhara Fernando came in with a brilliant spell picking up 5 wickets for just 17 runs to completely take over the control from BCD.
Uva Next openers came in strong and Upul Tharanga batted through out with an unbeaten 65.Quick runs from Munaweera, Bhanuka Rajapaksha and Shoaib Malik gave boost for the Uva Next to win the game with one more over left on the board.
Dilhara Fernando was awarded the Man of the Match for his match winning bowling performance for Uva Next.
