(25th August 2012, Cricturf ) : T.M Dilshan, the skipper of Banahira Cricket Dundees won the toss and elected to bat first in R.Premadasa Stadium to start the first game in Colombo session. Dimuth Karunarathne and Thilakarathne Dilshan both failed to put up a healthy score in BCD score board as both the openers departed while the score was 33. The second duo of BCD, Rilee Rossouw and Cameron Borgas started to build the innings by accelerating the score board until Rilee got a nasty blow on his nose which caused him retire hurt.
Retirement of Rile who was batting perfectly at 31 affected the BCD innings especially after Cameron Borgas's dismissal.The last few batsman in BCD could not cause much damage and ended up the innings with a total of 123.
The best bowling figures from Ruhuna Royal's was Wahab Riaz with 2 for 19 while Dilruwan Perera had 1 for 16. However, the Royal bowling attack over all was good and attacking comparing to the last few matches. 
Royals took the grounds with a target of 124 to win and it was a crucial game for them to stay live on the tournament. The opening pair Nasir Jamshed and Aaron Finch gave a superb start to Royal camp with their partnership of 48 runs. Nasir Jamshed went on to complete his half century and batted for a long time anchoring the innings for Ruhuna. With the strong start from it's openers, tail end of Ruhuna did not have much pressure on them to finish the game. Ruhuna reached the target in 17 overs to finish off in style.
Mohammad Mahmudullah of Basnahira Cricket Dundees showed the best bowling figures for his side with 3 wickets for 30 and Rangana Herath as usual gave his best by picking 2 wickets for 16 runs in his 4 overs.
Nasir Jamshed of Ruhuna Royals was awarded as the player of the match.
