(26th August 2012, Cricturf) : Tournament favorites Wayamba United today(26th) defeated Ruhuna Royals to conclude the league stage of the inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League in Colombo.
The day began with lots of hope and excitements among the crowd and participants as two important matches were scheduled to take place. The first match was Nagenahira Nagas taking over Uthura Rudras as the 19th match of the tournament. This was a crucial match for Nagenahira Nagas as they badly needed a win to qualify into the semi finals.However, Uthura Rudras continued their overall brilliant performance from the last match and collapsed the batting line up of Nagenahira Nagas to wrap the game with a 15 run win.
